There’s endless talk about the “beauty of the burst” but you have to admit there is something totally alluring with an old Les Paul Custom with its deep aged ebony paint offset with gold hardware and that awesome headstock split parallelogram design. This one weighs in at 10 lbs 10oz and feels right, there are no breaks or repairs and has just two replaced pots under the hood. The pictures tell the story and i think the guitar displays just the right amount of wear to pop the scale on the coolometer. It plays like silk on the ebony board with a low action on recent frets and the original sealed patent # pickups deliver the sound that we all love from these, perfect for Jazz through to grunge.
