1963 Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass

Here we have a fabulous example of a McCartney spec 500/1. Its never had a neck reset and non is needed. Pots dated to March 1963 and the ink stamp is present inside also dated to 1963. Its had one owner since the early 1970’s and when it arrived with us the headstock silkscreen decal had been polished off plus the bridge pickup was open circuit both corrected by the Hofner guru Alan Exley. Its has a strap pin in the neck heel and i see no need to remove it. Serial number of 163 makes for an early Selmer import and it comes with its original selmer case. All in all a really nice example of this highly regarded Bass with all the Beatle specs.
