1961 Fender Jazzmaster Olympic White Slab Board

Fabulous 1961 Fender Jazzmaster thats had a body only refinish in the timeless Fender custom colour Olympic White. It weighs in at 8 lbs 6 oz and benefits from being a slab board guitar. Its an old body re finish that has yellowed with age and looks very convincing there are the usual age related bumps and knocks guitars pick up over time and i can see 2 areas (dings) of touch in on the front of the guitar that blend in well. The neck has been re fretted more than once and a past re fret has left tang marks into the maple below the board in some areas. The current frets are in great shape and the guitar plays extremely well up and down the neck. The neck retains its original finish including logo and it has that time worn feel that we all love. All parts and fittings are original to the guitar and the faux tortoise shell guard is in good shape other than a crack through the output socket, quite common for this model as a result of not using a right angled jack, but is held securely in place by the socket itself. The neck pick up reads 6.67k ohms and the bridge 6.68 k ohms resulting in a nice balanced set. The guitar has its original tremolo arm and it comes with its original Fender brown tolex case
