1967 Fender Mustang

Clean example of an early CBS Fender Mustang in the much harder to find blue finish. it’s completely original with a 24 inch scale length neck and a B width neck. Leo Fenders last design whilst he still had ownership at Fullerton and aimed at the progressing student filling the gap towards the Stratocaster. It weighs in at 7 lbs 6oz and has a neck date of July 1967 and pot codes of 47th week of 1966. It’s probably the best playing one of these we have had through the shop with hardly any miles on it resulting in spotless frets and board. The finish does however show some wear with the usual bumps and marks that a guitar picks up over 50 or so years. The only mark of real note is an unusual burn mark below the tuners on the reverse of the headstock. The electronics are all original and both 3 way switches work as they should giving you access to all the tones that these guitars can get. The neck finish is still nitro and has that worn in feel we all love and it comes complete with it’s original tremolo arm and case.
