It pains me to release this one to the wild but i guess thats my job. Its only the second factory Bigsby Jet i have had in all my years of doing this. The first was a 1959 Duo Jet that went to rock royalty. As you may now all the Gretsch Jets came from the factory with a fixed “G” tail piece. The Bigsby Jet was reserved for 6121.  This one has a correct for 55 stamped on all its parts with a “G” fixed arm B3 Bigsby which is an uber rare thing in itself so this guitar was likely ordered new with a Bigsby or returned shortly after to have it added. As you can see its in superb condition with no yellowing or warping to the Gretsch sparkle drum wrap top. Sparkle paint can not achieve the depth of sparkle that these possess. Its been played a fair amount over the years and the finish to the back of the neck has worn down and has a warm broken in feel. Its still on its original frets and plays well with a good neck angle with no issues. The two Dynasonic pickups are super strong sounding like all from 1955 and deliver the goods. The serial number scratched on the back of the control plate at the factory matches the paper label inside and all else is original. Comes in its tatty but serviceable original tweed banner case
