What a guitar this is and it only weighs 8 lbs 3 oz which is incredibly light for a 345 and sounds really loud and resonant acoustically, and we all know what that means!. A recreation of Freddie’s famous Gibson ES345 and limited to just 200 pieces world wide. This one is in excellent very lightly used condition and ready for its next owner. Made in Memphis, USA, Semi hollow body with light weight maple center block. “Mickey Mouse” ears. Top and bottom three-ply maple/poplar/maple. Adirondack spruce bracing. Historically correct binding colour “tan” on neck, tan/black/tan on body. One-piece mahogany neck, traditional 1959 C-shaped neck profile. 1st fret thickness: 0.800″ (2.54cm), 12th fret thickness: 1.000″ (2.54cm). Wider truss rod for finer adjustments, Hide-glue neck joint. One-piece, dark rosewood fretboard. 22 historically correct frets 100″ x 0.45″. 12″ fretboard radius, 1.700″ (4.31cm) nut width. Tan binding with rolled edges for better playing comfort. Aged cellulose split parallelogram inlays, nylon nut (installed via Gibson PLEK system). Mother of pearl Gibson logo and crown headstock inlays. “Freddie King” engraved trussrod cover. 17° headstock angle. VOS gold plating on all hardware. Kluson single ring tuners with tulip buttons, 15:1 ratio. No-wire ABR-1 bridge with brass saddles, aluminium tailpiece. Golden reflector knobs with silver-coloured inlays, black 5-ply pickguard. Brass strap pins. Gibson 10-46 strings. MHS (Memphis Historic Specifications) Alnico III neck humbucker, slightly underwound, MHS Alnico II bridge humbucker, slightly underwound. 2 volume, 2 tone controls, vintage style. 550k audio taper pots with “black beauty” caps, historically correct wiring. 6-step Variotone Switch – position #1: bypass, position #2: -5db at 1950hz, position #3: -12db at 11hz (single-coil sound), position #4: -16db at 620hz, position #5: -18db at 360hz, position # 6: -21db at 120hz. Comes with its original tan Gibson case and certificate etc.
