Custom ordered with the proviso that it must be the best Fender Stratocaster possible in 1998 by the owner of Tempo Music London. The basis of the guitar was to be the Hank Marvin signature with which he was the biggest dealer at that time. The maker was Fender Custom shops Gene Baker, and 2 bodies were cut from one select slab of swamp ash wood with a stunning maple cap, and both shipped to the UK. The top has to be seen to be appreciated as it has a deep 3 dimensional curly maple figure thats hard to capture in the pictures. The neck not to be out done is made from a beautiful piece of birdseye maple that really sets the guitar off. It comes with its certificate and all the candy. The pickups were swapped out to Kinmans as Hank was using them at the time, but the originals are in the case and both sets have gold pole pieces Weighs in at 7.54 llbs.
