Unique opportunity to acquire one of the first Selmer import Hofner 500/1 bass’s, considering serial numbers started at 100 this is at least the 3rd one into the Uk. Purchased from the original owner some years ago who told me he bought the guitar as a special order with the fleur-de-lis headstock. It was purchased with a Hofner gig bag which soon fell apart and a Hofner “Nulook” case was purchased a few years later. The pictures show the bass being used by the original owner in 1964. It looks to be all original with a good neck angle and strong sounding pickups, there was a strap button at the heel of the neck which has been filled. All in all a very cool collectible guitar
