What an opportunity to acquire a left handed Pre CBS Fender Precision sunburst bass. You know you will never see another. This one although showing some wear to the body finish is all original bar a re fret. It also weighs in at just 8 lbs 4 oz and rings like a bell acoustically. Both potentiometers date to the 15th week of 1963 and have virgin solder joints which fits with the February neck date. The pickup reads 11.35 k ohms and delivers the goods. The original celluloid guard is crack free and all the hardware is original, quite a find i think you will agree. The bridge and pickup covers are not present. The neck finish is original with a beautiful un marked finger board, plus the logo is complete. The truss rod is fully working and the nut is not over wound in either direction. It comes in a late 1960s red lined black tolex Fender case. This really is a one of a kind instrument, not only for the fact thats its a rare left handed guitar, but even with my ham fisted playing (plus being a righty) i can tell its an exceptional bass guitar from Fender’s golden period.
