1961 Hofner 500/5 Bass
Beautiful blonde Hofner 500/5 bass thats benefitted from a neck reset and both toaster pickups re wound as is usual for this era pickup, hence it plays extremely well and sounds excellent with a strong full tone. The pickguard, bridge and teacup knobs are accurate reproductions. All the electronics are original. There is some very attractive flame to the maple particularly on the back and sides. The bass is in very good condition for its years but does have some cosmetic funkyness in the rim in the neck cut out. Its cosmetic and i have no clue why its there, pictures tell the story. Very cool light weight 30″ scale bass.
