1957 Gibson ES 350 T
Here we must have whats considered a collector grade example of a first year PAF equipped Gibson ES 350T. Its completely original including the sealed PAF humbucking pickups. The model was first introduced in 1955 with P90 pickups and followed the construction dimensions of the top of the line Gibson Byrdland with a laminated top rather than the Byrdlands carved solid spruce top. Like the Byrdland it features the same 17″ wide body and 2 1/4″ depth plus the short 23.5 ” scale length and the nut width on this one is 41mm. Famously the preferred guitar of Chuck Berry probably due to the reduced feed back properties that a laminated top provides. Condition wise i don’t think you could ask for any better just some minor edge marks and the usual age related lacquer checking. The frets and nut are original and the neck is straight with no dive over the fingerboard extension. The ABR-1 bridge still has its original brass saddles and all the plastic is original including the switch tip. The Paf’s sound incredible and measure 8.8k ohms at the neck and 7.3k ohms at the bridge. The pictures tell the story and it comes with its original pink lined Lifton case albeit with a replaced handle.
