Here we have a genuine pre CBS 1963 Fender Stratocaster neck coupled to a guitar builder body thats finished in Sonic Blue over Desert Sand undercoat. The neck was originally coupled to its original 1963 body that we parted out. The body also had its original nitrate guard albeit with filled holes. The pickups in this guitar came from that old body and i originally suspected them as non original. However, now this build is completed i’m not sure as they sound spot on although definitely have been rewound. Everything else on the guitar is quality reissue parts. The guard is from Fatboy Foley that i have had for years and the rest of the plastic is aged reissue. The bridge is aged Fender and the bridge block is a Callaham. The guitar is fitted with a 5 way switch for ease of use. It weighs 7lb 7oz and the neck pickup reads 5.2k ohms, middle 5.3k ohms and the bridge 5.4k ohms. So to recap, the neck, neck plate, neck screws and string tree, (maybe pickups?) are original genuine 1963 Fender, the rest is modern aged replacements. The neck has also been over sprayed in clear in the past. The whole package comes in a reissue Fender brown tolex case making for a superb instrument.
