1985 Rosewood Fender Telecaster TL-69 115

I have always liked Fender Japan instruments, the quality of workmanship is exemplary and they seem to have access to different lumber. The rosewood boards are always darker than US guitars and their overall weights feel consistent. The Fender Japan Rosewood Telecaster has always been a catch mainly due to the George Harrison connection and made in low numbers. TL69-115 appeared from the early 80s to 1990 and has a chambered construction with a maple sandwich to keep the weight down. The guitar has no serial # stamped on the bridge plate, these usually start with an A for the period but its been noted that different style bridges were attributed to the model including a six saddle version. This guitar looks to be all original with no broken solder so i will assume that applies to the bridge plate. It has “Made In Japan” on the neck heel and also stamped TL69 115 on the reverse of the neck in the pocket. Condition is good but of course shows handling wear from 37 years of normal use. The rosewood grain is very attractive and the full rosewood neck gives it a plush feel. The guitar comes with its bridge cover, come ashtray, strap and its Fender thin line ABS case
