Circa 1895 John Alvey Turner Zither Banjo HOLD
Made in Bishopsgate London UK Nice roundish V neck with attractive Mother Of Pearl inlays to the ebony board and pot rim. A few inlays are missing from the rim below the bridge. Original 3 a plate tuners work well and hold tune. 8 1/2″ pot set in Brazilian rosewood rim with 26″ scale length neck. Makers stamp on the neck heel. Attractive maple/rosewood sandwich detail to the neck with MOP side dots In good condition for its age
