1984 Yamaha SA 1800 Superaxe
This is a fabulous guitar, if i wasn’t such the sentimentalist i would replace my 84 S1000 that i bought new in Denmark Street all those years ago with the gem. This one has the solid spruce top and weighs in at an incredible 8 lbs or 3.4 kg making for an agile feeling guitar. It has coil taps on both humbucking pickups and a vibrant cherry finish with an ebony fret board. Which is unmarked as are the frets. Basically Yamaha’s take on the Gibson ES 335. The guitar is in overall very good condition but does have the usual finish wear associated with nearly 40 years of use. Comes with its original case.
