Lovely 41 year old Martin D45, the Rolls Royce of the Martin line up, or any line up for that matter. We have just had the neck reset with a new saddle and set up with 12’s, so its ready for the next 41 years. Its in good condition but does show light normal play wear / vintage patina which just adds to its vibe. There is a spot of pick wear to the top just by the top E close to the bridge. The only other thing worth noting is a filled screw hole where a strap button was fitted adjacent to the heel in the rim of the guitar which is in the case pocket. The guitar has also had the endpin drilled for a pickup and so has the combination output socket/strap pin fitted, but there is no pickup currently fitted. The frets are very good with just light indents under the B and E to the 4th fret, all quite normal and does not affect the playing experience. Needless to say it sounds as good as it looks with a balanced tone that gets better as it warms up, like all the best acoustics seem to do.
