1972 Fender Stratocaster Olympic White

1972  Fender Stratocaster

Wickedly cool 1972 Fender Stratocaster in its original road worn custom colour Olympic White. What makes this guitar special is the fact that its one of the last single tree examples following the CBS “upgrades” of 1971 leading to the the bullet truss rod 3 bolt neck and double string tree. It also weighs in at only 7.5 llbs which is ideal Strat weight. The neck joint is tight and its been re fretted with the poly finish removed from the board and sealed with nitro. Its been done years ago so the neck has a 1950’s look and feel. It has a 5 switch installed and the middle pickup looks later, possible custom shop, but they all balance nicely and the guitar sounds fabulous. Tremolo plate is missing and the case is a Fender hard shell case from the 1990’s Nothing not to like really, and will leave any custom shop guitar dead in the water!
