1966 Gibson ES 175D
Cool very clean transitional Gibson ES 175. The hardware is chrome but the nut is still 43 mm making this probably one of the last before they shrink to 40mm and less. I would think this fact would make this guitar very desirable as it also features 2 sealed patent # pickups. Although very clean, and looks to be hardly played, there is some crazing and age related wear mainly to the bottom rim. There is also a stress lacquer crack by the output socket that does not run through the laminated rim. I’m not sure if Gibson are currently making arch top guitars below custom shop level and i’m pretty certain this vintage example would run to less then a new guitar from the Gibson factory.
Comes with a 1960’s card case.
