6.8 llbs of Fender Telecaster goodness! Its light, resonant and packed with all the pre CBS features that are soon to be lost as the CBS machine tools up for the late 60’s 70’s manufacturing explosion with unavoidable quality control detriments that follow. Our guitar is 100% original with no disturbed solder joints and therefor still retains the earlier switching circuit. Pots date to 18th week of 1966 and matched to the neck month of October. The maple cap neck has its original frets and has that wonderful pre CBS full C shape profile with the attractive transitional “Fender’ logo. The bridge pickup reads 5.59 k and the neck 6.09 K ohms and it has that mid 60’s sparkle and bite that these are famous for. As you can see from the pictures it has some sticker tan lines to the finish that hopefully will diminish in time as the uv hits it ( we have it in the window!). There is also a small patch of case rub adjacent to the output socket but generally the guitar is in exceptional clean condition for its years with no corrosion or pitting to the hardware. It has its original bridge cover, sales brochure and case making for a nice collectible piece that can be enjoyed.
