1964 Hofner 500/1 Violin Bass

I love these bass’s, not only for the fab 4 connection but they sound so strong, easy to play and weigh hardly anything, great for the jobbing bass player on the hoof. This one is in great original condition and looks to have had the obligatory neck reset in the past so the neck angle is good resulting in a really nicely set up bass. It has all the correct features for an early 1964 bass such as narrow control panel, bound neck and individual cat’s head tuners. The electronics have survived un touched and apart from a replaced raised logo the bass is all original with its Selmer case.
