The ES 330 is always a firm favourite here and this one is from my favourite year and like all the others before it does not disappoint. Sharing the same construction as the Epiphone Casino that can be heard on all those hits of the 1960’s if ever there was a defining sound of the era this would be it. This one is in all original condition except for the tuners which are a 1960’s set of double ring tulip Klusons which follow the footprint of the original’s, although there is evidence of a further set installed in the past leaving behind screw holes thankfully hidden beneath. The guitar is still on its original frets and although showing some wear the guitar plays nicely up and down the neck with a loud acoustic tone. There are 2 filled indents to the fret board behind the first and second fret that present no issues with the rest of the board in good shape.  Both p90 pickups are nicely balanced with the bridge measuring a whopping 10.2k and the neck 9.2 k ohms. The finish has aged beautifully with that wonderful mid 1960’s Gibson sunburst finish. There is some minor age related wear to the finish confined mainly to the back of the guitar but no breaks or repairs. The guitar has all the features you want with a vintage 330 such as the full width 43mm nut and comfortable C neck profile along with nickel hardware. I’m not quite sure why i don’t own one of these yet myself!
