1962 Fender Jaguar Daphne Blue Slab Board Jaguar
Just in is this rare early first year of production slab board Fender Jaguar. The neck is dated March 62 so probably one of the last to receive the slab rosewood neck. It weighs in at just 7 lbs 7oz and as you can see has been tastefully refinished in Daphne Blue, its a pro job and the paint is very thin with the clear top coat crazing and beginning to green giving the guitar a surf green look in certain light. The neck has also been refinished in nitro with a replacement logo plus the guitar has been re fretted with a replacement bone nut making for a highly playable guitar. The board itself is in good condition with no groving or over sanding. The neck pickup reads 6.5k ohms and the bridge 6.7k ohms and it looks like the volume pot has been changed along with the tone cap. The slider switches have also been replaced as these can be come highly tempremental over the years but the originals are in the case. The original mute is also present in the case if desired. The original single line Kluson tuners work well and hold tune. You can tell someone has gone to a lot of effort to make a highly useable player grade vintage guitar. The original tremolo arm is with the guitar and it comes in its original Fender brown tolex case. The 1962 Fender Jaguar was Fender’s number 1 instrument and over the years this is probably only the second slab board version i have had within our inventory making for a highly collectible and usuable guitar.
