Here we have a superb example of an optimum 1960 year Gretsch 6120 from the coveted 367xx batch documented for its use of heavily flamed maple tops as this example demonstrates. From experience and past examples the 1960 model is the pinnacle of the marque, with the use of light trestle bracing and thin maple tops making for an agile feeling and resonant guitar. The PAF Filtertron’s compliment the design completely and will cover anything from ‘Rock n Roll” through to heavy rock. The finish is rich and unfaded and reveals 3 dimensional flame at every angle. The guard is a replica as the original was removed to reveal more of the figure to the top and lost to time.
