Players grade 1960 light trestle thin maple top Gretsch 6119 with one all important filtertron pickup. If you like single pickup guitar’s you will love this one and as its essentially a stripped down 6120 you get a lot of guitar for your money. Its had a neck reset by someone who is not familiar with Gretsch guitars, a packing piece has been inserted under the finger board extension and the neck screwed to the body through the ebony fingerboard and plugged. It’s a solid job, and whilst a bit of an agricultural remedy to the usual problem, its been executed well and i can see the thought process behind it. As a result the guitar plays well and sounds huge, these are real rock chord monsters and that filtertron will cut through any mix. The pickguard is also a replacement but all else looks correct, it also has zero binding issues and looks to have escaped the dreaded binding rot. It comes in its clean ‘snowflake” Gretsch banner case which is a nice thing to have.
