Its been a while since we have had a Les Paul special within our inventory and wow what a fabulous specimen this one is. I don’t think i have seen a cleaner example. Its all factory original including the oversized output socket plate correcting a factory miss drill. The limed “wheat” TV yellow finish is fresh and crisp with just the lightest of checking. All the hardware is original and fresh with just the “D” tuner post being slightly bent from a past bump. Factory solder throughout and all the controls function as they should with the twin P90’s giving the meaty voice that these are famous for with both reading 7.45k ohms. The action is low, the neck straight, and the original frets and board virtually unmarked. Just a killer guitar from Gibson’s golden period.
