1901 Clifford Essex “Weaver” 5 String Open Back Banjo Sold
Interesting Prototype made by A Weaver (stamped twice on pechpole along with Essex) with unusual mother of pearl and aluminium inlays. It has a 25 1/2″ scale length along with 10 1\2 ” oak pot. The tuners work well and hold tune and the frets are in good condition. The banjo is all original with a Boston style heel And made during the first year after the split with Cammayer. Nice collectible piece with its original case
