1963 Fender Stratocaster Olympic White

We can’t get enough of these player grade pre CBS Stratocasters and this is one is a superb example obtained from the second owner and comes with pictures of him playing it from the 1960’s. Its been refinished olympic white over the original finish which was also olympic white and other than the neck side dots replaced with a whiter material thats the only changes i can detect. It has all its original electronics including a trio of black bottom pickups on their original winds. The neck pup measures 5.9 k ohms, the middle 6.4 k ohms and the bridge also 6.4k ohms. It still has its 3 way switch and the 3 pots date to 40th week of 1963. The output socked has been changed but the original is in the case. The neck date is October 63 which ties in nicely with the electronics. The neck retains it’s original finish along with its logo albeit most of it worn away from the back of the neck leaving a lovely smooth feel that we all love. The fingerboard is in superb shape with not grooving or over playing leaving plenty of meat to the veneer board. it’s been professionally re fretted and plays like a dream as a result. All the plastics are original including the un cracked nitrate pick guard. all the metal hardware is original including the single line Kluson tuning pegs with no others ever being fitted. The guitar retains its tremolo back plate along with its ashtray but the tremolo arm is a replacement, i have an original somewhere which can be purchased separately if required. It weighs 7 lbs 9 oz and it comes in its original Selmer croc case along with above mentioned pictures, plus a like new vintage Selmer strap. If your looking for a fine player grade pre CBS vintage Strat, you just found it!
