1960 Fender Precision Bass Olympic White

Another pre CBS Fender guitar that we currently have at the moment that on first glance you would be excused for thinking was an original finish guitar, but on closer examination, largely due to a rectangular imprint just in front of the bridge which looks like it could have been some kind of past mute or piezo pickup installation thats been pieced in and over time revealed itself through the finish. Its easy to miss and doesn’t detract from the overall  appeal of the guitar. The slab board neck however retains its original finish and logo. The bass is insanely light coming in at 8 lbs 3 oz with the covers on which you immediately notice on picking it up. The neck is dated 12-60 in pencil and the pots are from 36th week of 1960. The pickup gives a resistance of 10.4 ohms and the instrument just sounds huge with a the woody over tones and growl that we know and love from these early P basses.  It plays extremely well up and down the neck on its original frets and nut with no dead spots, a true players vintage guitar that will not disappoint. It comes in a slightly later black Fender Tolex case.
