1966 Fender Mustang Bass
As a guitarist the Fender Mustang bass is probably my favourite of the Fender Bass’s. They seem to deliver all the bottom end and punch that their bigger brothers do in a neat smaller manageable package. This one has been re finished in black years ago and it looks like both pots and capacitor have been changed along with the guard, but the all important pickup is original as is the rest of the bass which includes the neck finish. I used to buy these all the time, but they hardly ever come up for sale these days, and when they do the prices are pointing ever skywards. maybe the secrets out!
