Fender Vintage ’62 Telecaster with bound edges, seen here in a glorious Candy Apple Red finish.
Vintage ’62 Telecaster
A real blast from the past, Fender have gone all out on the Vintage 62 Telecaster to ensure the accuracy of this incredible recreation of a legendary instrument, from its neck and fretboard down to the original circuitry.
Crafted in Japan
Fender guitars that have been crafted in Japan are very much sought after due to the expertise reflected in the build and nowhere is it more apparent than in the Vintage ’62 Telecaster.
Alder has been used to craft the classic Telecaster body shape with its cutaway design allowing for easy reach of the upper frets; great for solos.
Double body binding really set the ’62 Tele apart from the butterscotch blonde iteration that had come out earlier, so with this reissue it has been faithfully recreated, looking great while protecting the body of the Telecaster.
A traditional 4-bolt neck plate connects the period correct, oval shape Maple neck which features a classic, 7.25” radius Rosewood fretboard which holds 21 vintage sized frets.
Original Telecaster Circuitry
Giving the Vintage ’62 Telecaster its versatile voice is a pair of ’62 Custom Tele single-coil pickups, making use of vintage style circuitry to recreate those classic ’62 Telecaster tones.
A three-position pickup selector switch allows you to choose how you want to use the pickups:
- Position 1. Bridge Pickup
- Position 2. Neck Pickup with Tone Control (Bright Vintage Circuit)
- Position 3. Neck Pickup with No Tone Control (Dark Vintage Circuit)
Two-knob control allows adjustment of the Master Volume and Master Tone so you can quickly dial in your perfect sound.
