Circa 1890 John Alvey Turner Open Back 5 String Banjo made by Spenser in good condition for age. Old repair to a split in the rim that is solid and needs no further attention. Its 26 3/4″ scale length with a 10 1/2″ pot. The original tuners work well and hold tune and the frets are in good shape. Attractive inlays to the ebony board. Comes with a hard case.
