1998 Gibson Les Paul Standard Signed “Peter Green”

Here we have a 1998 Gibson Les Paul in black thats been signed by Peter Green. We do not haven provenance to support the signature but i am informed it was signed by Peter and the guitar was kept in a glass cabinet along with the included framed photograph at a now closed London club. I do have an interest in autographs myself, and from what i can see it appears to look right but i also hold the philosophy if you weren’t there in person at the signing or no photographic proof how are you going to know for sure. Anyway its a nice signature on a nice guitar and a nice thing to own. The guitar itself is in good used condition with the usual wear mainly to the back of the guitar. It looks like the face of the headstock has been refinished as Les Pauls from this period are susceptible to finish crazing in this area…i know as i have one myself! You can’t really tell but on close inspection you can see the work which is hard to photograph. The remaining finish is original and there is no breaks or repairs. I like these late 90’s Les Pauls and this one is a nice playing example and weighs in at 4.3 kg which for the era is light. There is no detectable fret wear and the neck is straight.
