1963 Guild S50 Jetstar

Here we have a first year Guild Jetstar which was the baby in the range of, Guild S50 Jetstar, S100 Polara and S200 Thunderbird solid body series of guitars influenced by the USA’s race to the moon. Being a first year example it features the 3 aside headstock which is replaced by the 6 in a line in 1964. It’s a set neck contoured all mahogany guitar thats light and resonant and would give any “Junior” a run for its money. It has a 24 3/4 scale length with a full width 43mm nut and comfortable full C neck profile.   The single coil built-in Guild “Frequency-Tested” pick-up has individual adjustment screws and separate tone and volume controls. The guitar has an integral tailpiece-bridge combination, with swing-off cover, is adjustable for height, tension and intonation which brings the Telecaster arrangement to mind. The cherry finish still has a deep lustre with just  normal age related wear. It also comes in its plush Guild case. If you fancy something a little different in the Junior mould then i think this could be it.
