Fender Duo-Sonic HS, Canary Diamond

Fender Duo-Sonic HS, seen here in an old-school Canary Diamond finish, features a single-coil and humbucker with coil-split capability.

Fender Duo-Sonic HS

Originally released back in 1956 and intended as a student guitar, the Fender Duo-Sonic has solidified itself as a classic guitar which is loved by guitarists of all levels.

This updated version shows that good things do come in small packages with the Fender Duo-Sonic HS producing a big sound in defiance of its diminutive size.

50s Vibe Meets Modern Playability

Alder has been used to craft the simple yet distinctive body shape of the Fender Duo-Sonic.

The Maple neck has a modern “C”-shaped profile and has been designed for comfort and performance. Atop the neck is a Pau Ferro fretboard with a 9.5” radius and medium jumbo frets.

Shorter than the norm, the Duo-Sonic has a 24” scale length which makes it a lot more manageable, particularly for smaller guitarists.

High Quality Hardware

At the headstock of the Fender Duo-Sonic standard cast/sealed machine heads delivering precise and secure tuning.

On the body is a hardtail six-saddle bridge which offers solid tuning stability, increased sustain and precise intonation. String-to-body vibration transfer is enhanced by use of a string-through-body design and increases sustain.

On the back of the Duo-Sonic HS you’ll find an old-school neck plate that has been engraved with the classic Fender “F” logo.

Unique and Versatile Electronics

Giving the Fender Duo-Sonic HS its size defying sound is a Duo-Sonic Single-Coil pickup in the neck position and a Duo-Sonic Humbucking pickup in the bridge position.

A three-way toggle pickup selector switch allows you to use either the bridge or neck pickup individually or a combination of the two.

For further versatility, a push/pull tone control knob allows you to select just the bridge coil of the Duo-Sonic humbucker pickup, allowing even more tones.

Master Volume and Master Tone controls allow you overall control of your sound and come in the form of knurled flat top knobs, further adding some old-school visual flair.

Size Matters Not

Fender’s Offset Duo-Sonic is great for players that defy definition.

From its size defying, powerful sound to its unique electronics and body shape the Duo-Sonic is different and continues to surprise.

Vintage 50s style meets modern Fender technology and engineering to give you an all-around great guitar.
