1962 Gretsch 6132 Corvette
The Gretsch Corvette was introduced in 1961 in a response to the successful line of Gibson Junior one pick up guitars. At first it had a slab body but quickly became the sculpted version you see here. This 1962 version also retains the truss rod adjustment and cover at the body end of the neck which also disappeared within the year. This guitar is in good collector condition but we had to have a reproduction guard made from the original which deteriorated with age being nitrate. The action is nice and low and the single Hi Lo Tron is nice and punchy. The position of the pickup also gives the guitar a unique tone. The Burns vibrato works well with the tension bar doing its job. Comes with a new Gretsch case.
