1956 Martin D28

All guitars are simply just not made the same, without doubt, and i exclude the 1930 OM28 we sold some years back, this has to the sweetest and most dynamic Martin we have had through the shop. It has an even string response across the board and a tight firm bass that responds beautifully to your right hand, dig in and it just gives, pull back and you have that sweet dry  Martin signature sound. This one is also in superb shape with no cracks or repairs with the 1-11/16” nut width and 25.4” scale length. There is some pick wear to the top of the guitar and a small patch of buckle rash to the back. There is no pull to the top behind the bridge. Gorgeous Brazilian rosewood back and sides, Sitka top, ebony fingerboard and bridge. Checkerboard back strip, 50’s style 28 top trim and rosette and Kluson waffle-back tuners. Its been pro set up with a new compensated bone bridge saddle. The present owner told me that David Crosby had his eye on this guitar and was considering it before he scooped it up! I haven’t had it in an alternate tuning yet but i wager thats where the magic will really fly!

Comes with its original hard case. Please call or email the shop for all details
